"Opening Paderevski" – this is a festival, which introduces the listener to classic and modern Polish music, and also connects  Ukrainian and European artists.

On the 17th of November, the second day of the festival, will be an evening devoted to the classics – Bach, Chopin, and Schumann. Next to them is Ignacy Jan Paderewskiy, a renowned conductor, pianist, composer and public figure, after whom the festival is named.  At one time,  the premiere of his opera "Manra" took place in Lviv, and at the concert on the 17th of November, numbers will be performed from the song cycle Miscellanea and "Concert Humorestski (jokes)" performed by the British pianist Jonathan Plourait. His solo concert is an extraordinary event for our city. Indeed, this soloist is not only one of the most famous pianists of our time, but also he is  a passionate popularizer of Polish music, which has opened to the public a lot of little-known names. He performed records of rare works by Paderevski, contributed to the restoration of the American festival dedicated to this composer, and won the Golden Medal at the Royal Academy of Music in the UK. His interpretations of Chopin and Paderevsky are known all over the world - now they will be heard in Lviv.
