Steffi Lehmann started her musical education at Kamenz school of music. During her study there she won a lot of scholarships. Since 2003 the artist was a student of the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig, where she studied vocal with D. Schmidt. She participated in master classes by Edith Wiens, Simon Estes, Charlotte Lehmann, Franz Grundheber, Graham Johnson and Eric Schneider. For many years she has been teaching in the children's choir Gewandhaus in Leipzig, giving concerts at home and abroad.
In April 2008 she won the first prize at the International Duschek Competition organized by the German Mozart Society. In May 2009 she received a scholarship from the International Association of Wagner Societies.
As a member of Bremen Opera Ensemble she has performed: Julia de Weert (Der Vetter aus Dingsda), Donna Clara, Infanta of Spain (Der Zwerg), Papageno (The Magic Flute), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), Marianne (Der Rosenkavalier) and Clorinda (Cinderella).
In July 2012 Steffi Lehmann was awarded prestigious Kurt Hübner Prize for her outstanding artistic work. From 2013/14 the musician played at the German National Theater: Musetta (La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss) and others. In 2015/16 she took part in the premiere of The Snow Queen, opera, by George Alexander Albrecht, performing the part of Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Anhen (Der Freischütz).
